Below is an excerpt from the Presbyterians for a Better Georgia newsletter.

Stand with Presbyterians for a Better Georgia if you believe the voice of the faith community is important in the public arena.

The Georgia Legislative Forum is less than two weeks away. We hope you'll join Presbyterians for a Better Georgia for an evening of dessert and conversation, featuring a panel of distinguished state legislators and an early insider preview of the upcoming legislative session. Hear about what's ahead on critical issues affecting healthcare, mental health care, affordable housing, homelessness and other priority issues.  Learn their insights about how to be an effective advocate.

When it can feel hard to stay sane in an era of chaotic and divisive National politics, remember that all politics is local politics. Instead of focusing on people or situations we can't change, focus on our local government where we CAN make a difference. Whether you practically know your elected official's office staff by name or are just looking to get involved in state politics, we'd love to have you join us. The event is free, but RSVP is required.

There will be a fantastic, bi-partisan panel of state legislators from the metro Atlanta area, including:
Rep. Park Cannon
Rep. Beth Beskin
Rep. Scott Hilton

Moderated by: David Vigilante, Legal Counsel and Senior VP of CNN, member of Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.

Monday, November 13th, 7-8:30 pm
Location:
Druid Hills Presbyterian Church
1026 Ponce De Leon Ave NE. Atlanta, GA 30306
Dessert will be served. Free parking is available.
