The City of Chester

The City of Chester has long been a proud supporter of the Chester County Chamber of Commerce.   This past month the City become a full partner member.    We appreciate their contributions to our programs and look forward to working together to make our community a better place to live and work!  We are especially excited about the City's Smithsonian exhibit "The Way We Worked" which will be on display this summer in Town Hall.  This special attraction will bring tourists to town and give local residents a chance to share their stories of how "we worked" to build Chester County.

The DSR  Scholarship  Foundation, created in honor of Derresha Shar'Daye Rhinehart, provides financial assistance to low income graduating students in the Tri-County area who plan to pursue a career in the medical field.

Tis the season for giving!

Thank you to Jill Josey of Mary Liz Fabrics for donating the material and decorating the Chamber holiday float.  Thanks also to those businesses who added their logo to the banner!  The float was pulled in the City of Chester parade by Jeff Wilson of Cotton Hills Farm with happy riders from our Ambassadors program and a local Girl Scout troop!  Look for this group again at the Lowrys parade on December 17th.  Board member Kathy Davis and her husband John have volunteered to drive their Model T on behalf of the Chamber in the Richburg and Fort Lawn parades this weekend.  Thank you to these holiday-loving volunteers who are spreading Christmas cheer and reminding others to "Buy Local!"  
Christmas in Chester

Christmas in Chester was a huge success!  From face-painting at The Chamber to sledding on The Hill, all activities were free for Chester County families!  Thanks to our Chamber members who so generously donated to this annual event and thank you to First Citizens' Brenda McBrayer for her commitment and dedication as chair of this project.
