Costumes may be brought to school in a bag and must require no assistance to put on and put on over clothes. We ask that parents monitor student costumes to make sure they are appropriate for a school event.

Military Family Status
Washington State Legislature is requiring families to verify their Military Family Status each year.  Please take a minute to log in to Family Access to enter and/or verify your status.

Here is how to do this:
STEP 1:  Log into Family Access - if you do not know your log in credentials, please call the front office at 425-844-4680.
STEP 2:  Click on Military Family Verification
STEP 3:  click on your students name
STEP 4:  On the right side of the page, click on Step 1. Verify Military Family
STEP 5:  Click on one of the radio buttons to answer
STEP 6:  On the right side of the page, click on Next Step.
STEP 7:  Verify the information and click Submit Military Family Verification or on the right side, you can click on Close & Finish Later.

Weapons
State Law (RCW 28A-600.420 and School District Policy 3200 prohibit the possession of firearms and weapons at school.  This law pertains to guns, knives, clubs, firecrackers, and explosives.  Dangerous weapons also include toy or "dummy" or look-alike objects.  The full text of the law and the definitions of dangerous weapons, as provided RCW9.41.250 and RCW 9.41.280, are on file in the school office.  Possession of firearms on school property will result in a one year mandatory expulsion, subject to appeal with notification to parents and law enforcement. Any violations of these guidelines by students constitutes grounds for expulsion from the Riverview School District and the public schools of the State of Washington and Board Policy.
