are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. Church Farm School Holds 92nd Christmas Pageant on Friday, December 9
at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 11 at 3:00 p.m.The dramatic pantomime is based on the classic children's story, "Why the Chimes Rang." This timeless short story, first published in 1909, tells the story of a grand old church with beautiful chimes which mysteriously ring out every Christmas Eve whenever someone places an especially pleasing gift on the altar as an offering, and how a miracle occurs after the chimes have fallen silent for years. It also serves as an appropriate reminder that CFS' mission is made possible thanks to the extreme generosity of a community who believes in the importance of providing a financially accessible education to those who otherwise would not have one. Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas
- Sunday Faith Forum on December 18th at 11:15 a.m. in MacColl Auditorium at St. Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh with the beloved Helen White! Only the gospels of Matthew and Luke tell us about the birth of Jesus, but their accounts offer different details about his birth and the roles played by Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the Magi and Herod. Join us as we explore the gospels, led by lay scholar, group facilitator and retreat leader Helen White, whose lay-led classes on the Synoptic Gospels were pioneered at St. Thomas' Church and have now spread throughout our Diocese and far beyond.

St. Christopher's Episcopal Church
, 116 Lancaster Pike, on Rt. 472 just off Rt. 1 in Oxford, PA, is holding its Annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 10, from 9-noon. We have some of the best bakers around with specialty cookies, peppermint bark, and plain old chocolate chip cookies for those of us who like the tried and true. Our rector even makes her "famous fudge." Refreshments will be served in our "Broken Cookie Café." So come, invite your friends, and do the "cookie walk," walk around our abundantly filled tables to choose your Christmas cookies, ideal for gifts and even for stashing a few away for yourselves! "The Three Jewels of Yoga"

A Quiet Night and a Perfect End: Gregorian Chant in Swarthmore
. All interested singers are invited to participate in a drop-in session of Gregorian chant singing on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. in the Chancel (Entrance through office door) at Trinity Church, Swarthmore. Sung for over a thousand years, plainchant is the oldest repertoire that exists in the Western musical tradition. Participants will have an opportunity to sing and experience Gregorian chant in a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. We will learn the music aurally, and through a combination of medieval and modern sources, imitating the experience of Medieval singers. Sessions will take place weekly, and will be led by Professor James Blasina (Department of Music & Dance, Swarthmore College). Feel free to

A Call for Socks to Benefit the Homeless
.
Did you know there are about 300 homeless people in Bucks County? Homeless people don't have frequent access to laundry facilities. So when their socks get wet, they risk getting trench foot, or even frostbite. They need dry socks to stay healthy. Last year the parish of St. Philip's collected well over 500 pairs of socks to distribute. This year, the Bucks County Herald has teamed up with
St. Philip's Episcopal Church, New Hope
, to appeal to the whole community to donate socks for the area's homeless people. We welcome all donations of new socks for men and socks, stockings, leggings and panty hose for women. Some children's socks are also welcome, but primarily those for adults. Help give Christmas Stockings a new meaning: when you are out shopping for the holiday, buy some socks for the homeless in our own community. Place them into the big blue tub on the porch of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 10 Chapel Road, New Hope (the historic one-room schoolhouse at the corner of River Road and Chapel Road).
