STEM JOURNEYS
Engineering | Think Like an Engineer: 
Girls learn how to think like a  designer  by participating in hands- on design challenges. (Daisy, Brownie, Junior)
Computer Science | Think Like a Programmer: 
Girls  participate in interactive  computational  thinking activities to  learn how programmers solve problems.(Daisy, Brownie, Junior)
Outdoor STEM | Think Like a Citizen Scientist
Girls learn the scientific  method by undertaking a citizen science project.  (Daisy, Brownie, Junior)
STEM Badges
Engineering | Robotics
Girls design their own robots after learning how they're  built and programmed.  (Daisy, Brownie, Junior)
Engineering | Mechanical Engineering
Girls complete hands  on engineering  activities, such as building and testing roller coasters, race cars, and jumping  robots. (Daisy, Brownie, Junior)

Fall Product Training
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage will be hosting a Fall Product Program September 29 - October 15, 2017 . During the sale, Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to sell nuts & candy and online sales of magazine subscription items to raise troop funds and earn awesome rewards.Join us for Fall Product Training! Service Unit and Troop Volunteers are invited to these Council led trainings to learn all about the Fall Product Program:

Save the Date
Super Saturdays 
We hope our volunteers will join us for an exciting day of fun, networking and camaraderie while they participate in learning opportunities that will enhance their skills and knowledge and assist them in building girls of courage, confidence and character.  This event is a great chance for leaders to do something for themselves while still impacting their work with girls.  Not a troop leader?  No problem.  This is a great event for any adult in Girl Scouts to receive enrichment training and learn something new.

Boise Veteran's Day Parade
November 4, 2017
Join your fellow Girl Scouts in the tradition of walking in the Boise Veteran's Day Parade! Troops need to register here with password: 2017parade).  
There will be two participant meetings and new entries must attend one of the dates, (returning entries need not attend). Dates for meeting will be given after entry approval.
At the parade, Girl Scouts will assemble as a single entry with Daisys in front followed by each level with all leaders to the rear. Cadettes will skirt the entry to provide safety and flow control.

Fleet Feet Meridian, our awesome new Community Program Partner, is providing kid's shoes to The Girl Scouts of Silver Sage for 50% OFF! These are very nice running shoes from New Balance. They will be having a fun park day in September where everyone will get their shoes! It will be before FitOne so everyone can were their new shoes for the race.

GSUSA Eclipse Box Activity Guide & Kit
Developed in partnership with NASA and other organizations, the guide supports activities for learning about the Sun, light, our solar system, and eclipses. They draw upon hands-on, safe activities suitable for girls as well as adults. While these activities are designed to help girls prepare for the total eclipse of the Sun in 2017, they can be used beyond the eclipse as part of your Girl Scout programs.

Girl's Weekend for Juniors at 
Bogus Basin
August 25-27
Junior Girl Scouts, spend some special time with a female adult relative (mom, aunt, grandma, etc.) at Bogus Basin. Girls and their adults will spend two nights sleeping in the Boise National Forest learning various outdoor skills, how to set up your own camp, Leave No Trace etiquette, hiking, exploring the forest and sleeping in tents. Anchored by the Troop Camping badge, this new Journey will deepen girls' outdoor skills through badges that lead to a Take Action project and inspire girls to take and interest in environmental stewardship. (Daisy- Ambassador)

This year, girls from across the United States had the change to vote for their badge category and topic. And the winner is...Troop Camping!  (Daisy- Ambassador)

Playing the Past Badge Workshop
August 19, 9:30am-12:30pm
Junior Girl Scouts, imagine a girl or woman who lived in another time-period. You can be someone who really existed or an historical woman from your imagination. Give yourself a new name and get ready to live history! Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) will help you explore the past and earn your "Playing the Past" Badge! Cost per girl: $12

Jubilation 2018- Save the Date & Theme Reveal!
Jubilation is a tri-annual, volunteer-driven, council-sponsored troop camping event. It is the largest girl event in Silver Sage council, where girls and adults camp together and enjoy a weekend of exciting programs, ceremonies, and fun! Jubilation 2018 will be June 8-10 at Filer Fairgrounds and the theme will be "Make Your Dreams Possible"!
Teen Advisory Committee(TAC)
T he objective of the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) is to represent the council girl membership interests in council programming and the recruitment and retention efforts. TAC gives Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors the opportunity to serve as the council's voice for all girls in Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council. Through girl-led activities, the committee will enrich the lives of girls through possible leadership projects, mentorship and living by the Girl Scout Law.
