An annual favourite returns to Lake Scugog and area
Our META4 Gallery Feature Artist for November is Marc L. Gagnon. Marc lives in the beautiful countryside near Bancroft, ON. and is a full time watercolour and acrylic painter. He holds degrees in Environmental Studies and Architecture from the University of Waterloo. For Marc, painting is a process of self-realization and his paintings are portals through which he attempts to understand his innate reactions to the built environment.Architectural elements and landscapes have a psychological hold on him and are the basis of his compositions. He seeks to activate viewers' visual memories and engage them using the graphic, simple nature of vernacular architectural forms placed into abstracted natural settings.
