Hey - want to get started in Machine Embroidery - or have a large hoop project that your machine can't quite handle? Sew Central is starting an exclusive Embroidery Machine Rental Program! Similar to long-arm rental programs, this will allow you to rent a top of the line Husqvarna Viking EPIC for in-store use. You will need to take a $45.00 class, and then will be able to rent a machine in the store for a reasonable charge. We will block off half day periods, but you only pay by the hour, and we will provide high quality embroidery thread. And - of course - you will have our expert staff for consultation if needed. This is a new program for Sew Central, so we are finishing up some details. But if you are interested, give us a call.

Adult Summer Camp
Fabric Wall Hanging with Heart

A fun way to show off all your decorative stitches--and your heart! You will also construct the background of this cute little wall hanging! Don't want a wall hanging? It can also be made into a pillow.

The Summer months are a great time to get your machine into Sew Central's service department - our backlogs are low and turn-around is usually a week or less.
All of our servicing is done here at the store - no shipping of your machine - and by Ron, our certified technician with over 20 years experience. Our basic cleaning flat rate of $89.00 is the lowest in the area for manufacture trained servicing.

The Original Beach Crawl Quilt

Have you ever seen baby turtles hatch and crawl for the sea? It's a lovely sight and this quilt strives to bring that into your home so you can see those hatchlings any time you want! While making this quilt you will learn how to sew a Drunkard's Path and how to applique. Nancy will walk you though it all and in the end you will have a beautiful quilt top ready to be quilted.

Sew Central is excited to present our newest applique embroidery block of the month! This applique block of the month series features Anna's Awesome Applique "My Garden Journal" and they are some of the most beautiful embroidered blocks we have ever seen digitized. These blocks are larger than most embroidered applique blocks making them perfect for framed art. And because they are larger, students will learn how easy the multiple hooping technique can be.
August Block is "Hummingbirds with Amaryllis"
Minimum hoop stitch area is 8" x 12"

Thread Velvet Techniques

Thread Velvet is easy to make in your embroidery machine and it looks so elegant! In class you will learn how to make this embroidery and then construct a pillow.
Of course it is a technique that you can put on anything so if a pillow isn't to your liking, that's ok! All machine types are welcome. We have used one of our machine's built-in designs so if you don't want butterflies, you are free to choose something else.

Attention all Sew Central Machine Embroiderers! Sew Central presents our new KimberBell Embroidery Projects Series. Great, fun ways to sharpen your (or learn new) embroidery skills!
Each month a new machine embroidery project will be taught and you will be delighted with how quick and easy each of these projects are! No project uses a hoop larger than a 5" x 7". You will bring a few simple basic supplies and Sew Central will provide the scraps for your projects How easy is that!
For August, we are going to make these super easy and unique embroidered Cupcake Greeting Cards

Here a Chick, There a Chick
Six Class Series
Starts Wednesday, Aug 23rd 2017
In 6 weeks we will finish this quilt top so all these cute little chicks can run around your home! This is a block of the week class. Each week the pattern will be handed you in class (a $48.00 value!) and then we will sew all day to get the chicks finished!
As an added bonus, the patterns show you a second, smaller design that is great for kitchen towels, apron fronts, pillow, or framed. In class we will be teaching such things as applique, half square triangle construction, and even a few hand embroidery stitches. (If hand is your 4 letter word, Ellen has ideas for it to be stitched on your sewing machine!)

Floral Menagerie
Block of the Month
Six Months starting October 2017
Join us for special Block of the Month program to build this beautiful quilt from In The Beginning fabrics. We will only have 12 spots available, and are offering the complete quilt at the highly competitive price of $15 / Block for the 12 Block series. Pattern is included.
There will be a one-time $25 joining fee, which can be used as store credit for the quilt backing. We will send out two blocks a month for six months.
The finished quilt is 72 1/2" x 96 1/2", with block sizes of 24" x 24".
While we do not plan to have a corresponding class with this quilt, we are of course ready to help you out through this project and plan some monthly get togethers as we build this fun and bright quilt top.

Kids Sewing Class
Every Tuesday and Wednesday Afternoons
Every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, kids get together for sewing lessons with Ms. Jane or Ms. Nancy. Tuesdays are normally for beginners, and Wednesday for the more advanced sewing enthusiasts. Join the fun!
