We would like to highlight Jose Antonio Rodriguez, Esq, Executive Vice President of Acacia Network, Inc. During AHHE's 17th Annual Healthcare Diversity Awards on June 22nd, 2017, at the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM), Mr. Rodriguez was awarded the Community Health Center Executive of Year Award.
Before joining Acacia as Executive Vice President, Mr. Rodriguez had been in the private practice of law since 1978. In his practice he has handled matters involving corporate law, representing both business and not-for-profit corporations, among other areas of law. He began his career in law in 1973 as a Uniformed Court Officer followed by a promotion to Court Clerk in the Bronx Criminal Court. AHHE commends Mr. Rodriguez's work to provide health services to underrepresented communities.
National Medical Fellowships (NMF) has opened four new applications for its service-learning programs as well as general scholarships and awards. These awards are for medical/dentistry/pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited medical school or dentistry program for the 2017-2018 school year. Contact [email protected] for more information.
