Sabrina Parker Mann, enthusiastic supporter of Project Horse, with Dolly.

Sabrina shares why she's an avid donor and volunteer!
"I stumbled upon Project Horse 4 years ago, when I felt a strong pull to find a local CFC charity that was involved with horses and would allow me to volunteer my time.  ("CFC" is the Federal government's Combined Federal Campaign, where employees are encouraged to pledge a portion of their salary to one or more worthy charities.)  My research resulted in a list of a dozen local horse-based charities, including Project Horse. As I further researched the charities on the list, I was intrigued to discover that Project Horse not only rescued and rehabilitated horses, but the horses then also help rescue and rehabilitate people!

I thought, how cool is that?

I made my first trip to Project Horse in February of 2013, and it was then that I met all the amazing horses, volunteers, and the organization's founder, Darcy Woessner. I was so touched by the generosity and care shown by each member of the crew, I fell in love immediately and knew I had discovered a charity completely worthy of my time and financial support.

My family was so taken by my stories of Project Horse that my dad soon began to volunteer, helping with handy-man tasks, with my little sister accompanying him to help care for the smallest herd members - the Mobile Minis!
Project Horse has become a family endeavor for us, and I' m confident in saying they've helped us even more than we've helped them (although Darcy may disagree... she's very humble) .

Project Horse's  therapy and wellness programs are beneficial for a wide variety of life challenges, and help adults, teens and children.  With their mission of connecting people in need of renewed hope and confidence with rehabilitated rescue horses, they definitely hit the mark! And Project H orse's outreach and dedication to helping others speaks volumes about their compassion for what they do.

But here's t he thing -- they're a small volunteer  organization and the
funds coming in don't match the funds needed to go out -- at least not without all of your help.  Your donation is critical to Project Horse! In my opinion, Project Horse  needs more PR, more word-of-mouth and more airtime, so that more people discover this amazing charity and the special way its horses help others!

Giving a gift to the Project Horse Empowerment Center enables them to keep giving high quality wellness and mental health services to many grateful members of the community. Help this worthy cause while doubling your impact this holiday season."
It runs in the family! Sabrina's father and little sister spend quality volunteer time with Bella.
Our end-of-year fundraising target is $15,000, and with a great Giving Tuesday, we have raised $8274 so far!

There are $1490 in unmatched dollars still on the table from the Knippenberg Foundation, and we have been given until December 21 to meet the rest their matching challenge grant.

We are grateful for this gift of time!
