HYER HUSKIES OF THE WEEK
ABBEY
Abbey was nominated by Mrs. Gardere as this week's Hyer Husky of the Week.  Mrs. Gardere said, "Abbey is the ultimate Hyer Husky! She follows directions the first time, shows tremendous respect, and always offers a helping hand!  There is no task she won't do and always does it with a smile on her face."
HUDSON
Hudson was nominated by Mrs. Burkhart as this week's Hyer Husky of the Week.  Mrs. Burkhart said, "Hudson has such a great heart! He is always willing to help others in class. He took it upon himself to put up all the computers and pick up the classroom."
TRAVIS
Travis was nominated by Mrs. Ingram as this week's Hyer Husky of the Week. Mrs. Ingram said, "Travis tries his very best daily and does not give up, even when the work is hard. He is caring of others and lends a helping hand whenever he can. He is consistently a student that wants to do the best job he possible can!"

THANKSGIVING SCHOOL LUNCH - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8th
The Hyer Cafeteria will be serving a delicious Thanksgiving Feast for students Wednesday.   We kindly ask that parents NOT visit the cafeteria on Wednesday, as seating and food will be very limited.

Please note this is a set menu and NO other food will be available. Students will not be given a 'cold choice' for lunch, the salad bar will be closed, and seconds will not be served.

Students who bring their lunch from home will be able to purchase pumpkin pie in the ice cream line. If your child has a restricted diet, please make sure they bring their lunch from home on Wednesday.

4th GRADE PARENT MEETING
November 14, 2017 at 9 A.M. in the Hyer Auditorium
Fourth Grade is an exciting time at Hyer and there are many special tributes and celebrations ahead. Come learn all about the Fourth Grade Skit, Baby Pictures/Videos, End of Year Celebrations, etc.....You can also visit the Fourth Grade Activity page on the Hyer Web Site for more information.  Please note, there will not be any skit assignments at this meeting.

PTA GIFT COMMITTEE REQUESTS
The Hyer PTA Gift Committee meets twice a year to review, approve and fund our school's educational programs, recurring expenses, classroom requests and other school enhancements. Parents are welcome to submit requests for items our school needs to continue to provide and improve its exemplary learning environment. PROPOSED BYLAW CHANGES
The Hyer PTA Bylaws Committee recently met to conduct the annual review of the Bylaws and Standing Rules. The committee would like to propose the changes posted in this  marked document. A copy can be found on the "PTA" tab of the Hyer Elementary website and a hard copy is available in the front office.
