Weekly News & Updates for the LPA Community                       November 5, 2017
You Are Here

You are here: November 5. It's been five weeks since fall break, and fatigue is setting in for all involved. There are two general options available at this point of the semester "marathon." Students will be tempted to walk or slide into Thanksgiving. The better way is to focus effort these next two weeks and to cross the holiday finish line before resting. Then, that rest will be particularly sweet! We all expect learning to occur at a school, and we want students to learn lessons that will help students in "real life." Giving a solid effort at crucial times is a powerful lesson to learn indeed. And like in sports, this type of effort is made more possible with a lot of mutual encouragement.

The box tops program sends schools a check, based on the number grocery item coupons submitted by its families.

Literature Coming to Life

Basketball Season is Under Way
With only a single day turn-around from fall sports to winter sports, both the guys' and girls' basketball teams began practices at the start of last week and had commitment day on Friday. The basketball teams will be using multiple facilities this year for practices and games. For parents and fans, be sure to watch the schedule carefully for the daily basketball locations.
