At its regular meeting scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, Toledo City Council is expected to refer Ordinance 455-16, Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson's 2017 operating budget proposal, to its Finance and Budget Oversight Committee. The budget proposal totals $257,602,700, which is $3,793,628 more than what is budgeted for 2016, and includes transferring $11,500,000 from the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Fund to pay for general operating expenses .
