Paradigm Persona Beryllium Tweeter and Midrange Design

One of the keys to the luxury and value of the Persona loudspeakers are Paradigm's use of Beryllium, the absolute best diaphragm material, typically found only in speakers costing considerably more. Persona uses tweeter and midrange drivers that are made from Truextent Pure Beryllium, which is specially formulated to be exponentially stiffer and significantly lighter than other premium diaphragm materials. It enables superior transient response and transparency, with vanishingly low audible coloration.

New! MartinLogan
Ultra-Slim Folded Motion
3-Channel Soundbar

The secret to the outstanding performance of MartinLogan's SLM & SLM XL speakers are the innovative 4-inch, ultra-slim fiber cone woofers paired with Folded Motion tweeters. The new Motion SLM X3  [$999.95] passive 3-channel soundbar ups the ante with three Folded Motion tweeters and six 4-inch ultra slim fiber cone woofers, giving you a complete stereo and center soundstage from one ultra-slim cabinet.

TV manufacturers are pushing the physical limits of electronics, making TVs that are thinner than ever. While they look great, creating a thinner television means making compromises to the built-in speakers; tiny drivers, cheaper parts, reduced cabinet volume and placement  behind  the TV create unnatural, lifeless sound. Worse yet, these speakers are usually underpowered, and easily distort when you turn up the volume. The  Motion SLM X3 soundbar provides a clean, easy to install solution for elevating the aural experience that has been sacrificed with ultra-thin TV technology.

The result is stunning acoustical alchemy typically found in much larger speaker systems. Hidden discretely underneath the grille, the drivers are held securely in place by a solid, black-anodized brushed aluminum baffle mounted flush within the speaker's high-gloss black cabinet.

New!
Stealth Acoustics
LRx83 Invisible Loudspeaker

The Stealth Acoustics model LRx83 is a 3-way, full-range speaker system that is completely invisible upon installation. The LRX83 has a rigid frame that attaches directly to standard structural framing simplifying installation. The paintable surface playing into the room is bonded to the frame of the speaker panel.

The LRx83 may be installed on the client's wall or ceiling. Decorating options include latex paint, light wallpaper, fabrics and texture finishes. Very advanced finishing treatments like veneer can be supported.

The Stealth Acoustics LRx83 uses an acoustically coupled high-quality low-profile, high-power eight inch cone woofer, a direct-coupled neo-magnet mid-range and a direct-coupled 25 mm neo-magnet tweeter. Advanced technology and materials allow for smooth response to 20 kHz. When the LRx83 is installed in the recommended Stealth Acoustics backbox, frequency response below 40 Hz is delivered. The LRx83 contains two protection circuits (high/mid-frequency and low-frequency sections) that protect against excessive amplifier power and automatically reset after it is corrected.

Music Interface Technologies ACC 268 Articulation Control Console and MA-X SHD Interconnects

Robert Harley of The Absolute Sound takes a close look/listen to the MIT ACC 268 Articulation Control Console and the MA-X SHD Interconnects. He makes comments like:
  • The sonic changes they render are unlike any other differences I've heard between components.
  • No other cable I've heard offers the MIT's foundational virtues or its flexibility in tuning a system's sound.
  •  I confess to not fully understanding the concept of "articulation" in cables, or how the ACC 268 works, but I can report that no other cable I've heard offers the MIT's foundational virtues or its flexibility in tuning a system's sound. Yes, the MIT ACC 268 is crazy-expensive, but for those of you well-off enough to afford it, I don't think that you'll find a more musically rewarding speaker interface.

htrHome Theater Review checks out the Persona 3F Loudspeaker

Dennis Burger, Home Theater Review, spent some time with the Persona 3F (along with a pair of Persona Bs and a Persona C) and awarded it a resounding 5 stars across the board!

Here are a few of his comments:
  • "...There's an undeniable high-end elegance to the speakers that pictures and words alone cannot wholly convey. Build quality is flawless. The finish is simply luxurious."
  • "From their exceptional dispersion characteristics to their wonderful tonal balance, exceptional clarity, and stunning detail, Paradigm's Persona Series speakers leave one wanting for nothing..."
  • "They are, quite frankly, some of the most gorgeous and best-built audio components I've ever been fortunate enough to house for any extended amount of time."

bravadoMartinLogan Bravado Wireless Speaker put through its paces by Home Theater Review

  • "Maybe this is just me, but typically the more time I spend listening to a given set of speakers, the more fault I'm able to find. I had the opposite experience with the Bravados. With each listening session, I noted a different strength."
  • "My day-to-day wireless speaker is the Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin. I simply found the Bravado combo to be more engaging than the Zeppelin..."
  • "While I experimented with AirPlay, I was so enamored with the DTS Play-Fi app, that's what I ended up using for the majority of my time with the Bravados."
  • "The Bravado's sonic signature, its intuitive and exceedingly simple/flexible DTS Play-Fi app, and its built-in room correction make it a compelling offering. "

Sound & Vision Magazine
Reviews the Paradigm Persona 3F, Persona C, Persona B, and Persona Sub Loudspeakers!

Check out the Paradigm Persona 3F/C/B/SUB review in the forthcoming September 2017 issue of Sound & Vision magazine.

Here are some of the quotes:
  • Paradigm set out to create the best, state-of-the-Paradigm-art speakers the company has ever produced, bringing together top-notch cabinet construction and finishing capabilities and advanced driver technologies in hopes of achieving something greater than the sum of its already great parts. They've succeeded!
  • There are damn few speaker systems that I'd consider selling my children-or myself-for medical experiments to acquire. But the Persona 3F and the rest of the speakers in this Paradigm Persona system are so astounding, so unequivocally brilliant in their performance that they will convince your ears that they don't exist, despite what your eyes will try to tell you.
  • $31,000? Is it a true value in a loudspeaker package? Or is it a total luxury for your eyes and ears? Take your pick. Either way, you'd be correct.

The Master Switch reviews the Peachtree Audio nova300

Their comments included:
  • "A relentless and extraordinary piece of audio gear."
  • What they've made is one of the most powerful amps on the market, which also happens to be one of the easiest to operate. It's quite a trick.
  • It's not just that it could go loud when we asked it to. That was a given. It's that the sound was absolutely extraordinary. It had such fullness to it, such weight and heft, that we almost expected the air to turn solid.
  • As far as we're concerned, this is the best stereo amp currently available right now...

MIT's Predator Series Power Noise Traps are a simple and affordable way to increase both audio and video performance in your client's system and headphones, bringing your client more enjoyment from their music, movies and video games. Sources of extraneous noise will affect both your client's audio and video signals, as well as slowing down the digital data streams on your client's networks, and can manifest itself as subtle grainy distortions, compressed imaging, and unnatural or harsh timbre. Similarly, video picture quality will suffer in the form of slight graininess or snow, especially in darker pictures. The level of contrast and depth of field are affected, as is the natural detail that comes from accurately passing very high frequencies. In extreme conditions, line noise can create visible hum bars and color shifts.
