So Much More to Summer!

People from the great Pacific Northwest understand that summer doesn't really start until after the 4th of July, but it usually stretches well into September.  That means that summer is just getting started and there is a lot going on in our small, friendly town.  We hope you can visit us soon and enjoy part of the season in Sunny Sequim.  Our website has everything you need to plan your trip.
So Much to Do!
There's a Whole Lot of Music Going On!

Toes are tapping through the month of August.  Join us next Friday, August 4 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for our Keying Around Block Party on the Civic Center Plaza.  There will be a silent auction for the beautifully painted pianos that have been placed throughout downtown, music by Seattle-based Shaggy Sweet, family activities, and food and beverages available for purchase.

Music in the Park continues each Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the James Center for the Performing Arts at Carrie Blake Community Park and the new Performers on the Plaza brings music to the Civic Center Plaza on Fridays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. throughout the month of August.

You just never know when a Flash Mob is going to break out.

It's Not Too Late to Visit Lavender Farms

We had a great turnout for Sequim Lavender Weekend.  Visitors from all over the world enjoyed the Lavender Festival Street Fair, visiting the beautiful farms, and all of the wonderful community events and evening dances and concerts.  If you weren't able to make it to Sequim last weekend, the lavender fields are still blooming.  A visit in the next few weeks will mean catching the lavender harvest, oil distillation, picking your own sweet bouquet, and a visit to lavender stores and gift shops for wonderfully hand-crafted products.

Lavender drying in barns and sheds is a common sight in Sequim during the month of August.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors

Take a walk on the Dungeness Spit and enjoy the array of wildlife.  If you're up for a hike, walk the 5.5 miles to the end and you'll be rewarded by finding the New Dungeness Lighthouse.
