Baptism Offered

Holy Baptism is offered on Sunday, January 8. If you are interested in being baptized into Christ's One Holy and Catholic Church, then please contact one of our clergy or the parish office , by Sunday December 25.
2016 Contribution Statements
2016 Contributions Statements will be mailed no later than January 31, 2017. All contributions must be received by the church or postmarked before January 1, 2017 in order to be eligible for a 2016 income tax deduction. Please note the Parish office will close at noon on December 30. If you have questions, email Meredith Beach or contact her by phone at (706) 724-2485.
Parish Office Christmas and New Year's. 
The Parish Office will be closed Monday, December 26. New Year's week, the parish office will be closing at noon Friday, December 30, and will be closed Monday, January 2.
Episcopal Young Adult Ministry at Columba House Augusta
Columba House Augusta (CHA, pronounced Ch'-ä, like the dance!) is a local ministry for young adults ranging from 18 to 30ish. We gather weekly at Columba House, a neutral and safe place, to enjoy one another's company and explore BIG questions about faithfulness and belief and what it means to be formed by the way of Jesus Christ in our postmodern context! CHA welcomes everyone: no matter who you are; no matter where you come from. Come and see for yourself. Email CHA's Missioner, Ranie or shoot her a text at (706) 254-5332 for more information.
Parents of College Students
Parents of college students, The Daughters of the King, an Episcopal prayer and service order, has a special ministry at Saint Paul's praying for and supporting our college students. If your student would like to participate in this program, please send their name and address to program coordinator, Julia Hickman, so that they may receive notes and small surprises during the year.

12th Night Winter Gathering
Friday, January 6, 6:30-8:30 PM, Fr. Jenkins's home

Advent greetings! I look forward to hosting a Winter Gathering for the adults of the parish at my home on January 6, and although that Friday in fact is the Feast of the Epiphany, we gather to celebrate the last night of the Season of Christmas, the 12th night of Christmas!

Hold that date and look for an e-invitation on the 1st day of Christmas!

EYC Resumes with an Epiphany Party
Sunday, January 8, 4-6 PM 

Saint Paul's EYC (Episcopal Youth Community grades 6-12) resumes with an Epiphany Party, Sunday, January 8, 4-6 PM . This is a night to bring friends and dancin g   shoes for disco ball dancing delirium. Festive wear encouraged! Email Ranie to RSVP or to find out more about our youth ministries. EYC for middle and high sc hool w ill resume its regular Sunday night schedule, 5-6:30 pm, after January 8. 

Annual Parish Meeting and Brunch
Sunday, January 22
The 267th annual parish meeting and brunch will be held Sunday, January 22, following the 11 AM service. Details will follow. Please mark your calendars.
VESTRY NOMINATIONS REQUESTED

The Vestry Nominating Committee is seeking candidates whom you believe would make outstanding Vestry members for Saint Paul's. If you'd like to suggest someone, including yourself, please contact Dea Baldwin, Jr. Warden  . 
VESTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
The basic responsibilities of the Vestry are:
· to help define and articulate the mission of this congregation
· to support the church's mission by word and deed
· to support the clergy
· to ensure effective organization and planning
· to manage resources and finances
· to attend monthly vestry meetings and annual vestry retreat
· to serve as liaison to assigned parish committees
This is a 3 year term.

MINIMUM CRITERIA
To be eligible for the Vestry, a nominee must answer "yes" to all of the following questions.
· Have you been baptized?
· Do you regularly attend worship services at Saint Paul's?
· Are you a pledging member of Saint Paul's?

CANDIDATE PROFILES
Each nominee slated to run for election to the Vestry will be invited to share a profile with the parish via our regular parish communications including the weekly newsletter.
