Library Event Highlights
You still have a couple weeks to catch more than 75 events at the library - here are some highlights:
Summer Spotlight Ends
August 12
Remember to complete your forms/badges and pick up your prizes by Saturday, 8/12 (earlier if your library isn't open on Saturdays and/or Fridays).
Kids & teens can continue to reduce fines on their library cards with the Great Summer Read Down through the end of August! More info here
Enter Twins Tickets Drawings
Kids and teens can enter the drawings every time they visit a Scott County library from August 14 to September 5 for a chance to win 3-, 4-, or 5-packs of tickets to games on Friday, 9/15 or Saturday 9/16 against the Blue Jays. Tickets will be mailed to winners on 9/7.
Thank you, Minnesota Twins!
Celebrate the Eclipse on August 21
Beginning August 8, you can pick up eclipse viewing glasses at all Scott County libraries (one per person, while supplies last).
On the big day, drop in for a
Solar Eclipse Viewing Party for kids & families at the Shakopee Library from 11:30am-2:30pm. Outside you can view the eclipse as it moves across the sky. Inside, we'll have stations explaining the science behind an eclipse and you can make an eclipse chalk drawing to take home with you. Eclipse glasses will be available on the day of the event for the first 150 attendees.
