Have you ever been part of a really vibrant network? One that you knew you could turn to when you need advice or help? What role did you play in making that network succeed? This Sunday, we'll talk about what it takes to be a contributing, essential part of a network - and how you can help develop and sustain the vital networks you're part of.

We'll be talking about all of this in the context of Hub member Sandy Heierbacher's work. 15 years ago, Sandy founded a thousands-strong nonprofit network called the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation. NCDD serves, corrals, and elevates the facilitators and organizations who bring people together across political and ethnic divides to move us forward on contentious issues.

Sandy developed NCDD in accordance with the democratic principles this emerging field/network embraced, laying the groundwork for a vibrant, active community where people supported each other's learning, celebrated each other's achievements, and worked together on projects - despite the fact that many of them were competing for the same funding and clients. 1:30-3:00pm, 30 JFK Street.
