Our first community outreach program this school year is our  Sister School Supply Drive, THIS WEEK. Please help the students of Powers Ferry and Norton Park with much needed school supplies for the school year. Requested items are listed by grade level and will be much appreciated.  Collection bins are located in front office.

FACT Club Registration - Openings Still Available!
Looking for an after-school enrichment program for your child? We have an outstanding line-up of FACT Clubs brought to you by the Mt. Bethel Elementary School Foundation. Visit the Mt. Bethel Elementary School Foundation website to read more about each FACT Club. From there you can visit the Club's website and sign up directly!

5th Grade Organizational Classes - Start on Monday, 8/14!
This Foundation funded class will be taught by Learning Specialist, Natalie Collins, M.Ed. and will take place on 8/14, 8/18, 8/21 and 8/23. (Exact date will be based on your child's teacher.) Ask your 5th grader to tell you all about it!
Sunday AUGUST 20th will be the annual work day for the MBES Gardens.  We will install an outdoor art project (which all MBES students will have contributed to in art class) by the school's front doors, build a compost corral by the school Kitchen Gardens and clean up our vegetable beds so they are ready for learning this fall. 

We need both  ADULT volunteers ready to come do manual work as well as STUDENTS of all ages ready to lend a hand. We don't need skilled labor, just people ready to get their hands in the dirt. This is a great way to learn about what takes place in the school gardens and prepares the gardens for students' fall learning. 

Bring your garden gloves and EVERYONE should come wearing closed toe shoes. Be sure your name is taped on any tools you bring.
