Fellow Republican,
On behalf of the Idaho Republican Party, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Christmas is a time to celebrate the gifts of family, friendship, and most importantly, the gift of our Savior. It is a time to remember how blessed we are, both individually, and as a country.
Looking back on this past year, we have much to be thankful for. We are blessed to live in a country where the will of the people is expressed in the government, and where men and women will risk their lives to keep that freedom.
But Christmas is also a time for us to share our blessings with others. Today, take a moment to remember those who are suffering or feel alone. Whether they are away from home for a deployment or mission, are missing a loved one with whom they no longer share the holidays, or are experiencing other difficulties in life, we must extend the spirit of charity and giving beyond our own homes into our communities.
As we gather with friends and loved ones, let us take a moment to thank God for the blessings that the has given us, and most importantly, the blessing of his Son.
