PLEASE JOIN US FOR
A MEHERABODE GARDEN INFORMATION-GATHERING MEETING
CONCERNING GARDEN INFRASTRUCTURE,
IMPROVEMENTS AND BEAUTIFICATION

Background:
Like the Center itself, Meherabode's garden is a wonderful haven of peace in the heart of Los Angeles. It includes Mehera's Rose Garden, a Bamboo Grove, a new Zen-style rock garden being developed near the Dome entrance, and other delightful nooks and crannies discovered by visitors from near and far. Work on developing the garden has been a collective volunteer effort for many years, and represents an ongoing avenue for service to our Meher Baba community.
Recently, a number of issues have come to light regarding the failure of the current sprinkIer system, safety hazards in regards to the pathways/walkways in the Meherabode garden around the Dome, a lack of handicap accessibility, and some long overdue grounds maintenance issues that have been discovered as well as some improvements that would make the Center safer and more inviting for everybody, including for various types of rentals, a major source of income.
The Board of Directors and members of the Landscape Committee are calling a general information gathering meeting and hope that you will join us to discuss taking care of these issues in the coming year.

There are several purposes for the planning of this meeting on January 14
th
. First and foremost it is designed to allow interested members to share their visions and hopes for possible changes to the Center landscape. Thus,
the meeting is set up to be an information-gathering meeting
. We want to know how you all envision the future of the Center's gardens and environs.
Also, as you may know, at the recent Annual General Meeting we shared some of the pressing needs mentioned above related to the Meherabode garden (new sprinklers, upgraded and safety proofed pathways, handicap ramps, etc.)
For those unable to attend we will provide a summary email update in the days following, and in addition we encourage you to share your thoughts with Kent Hanson, Landscape Committee Chairman.

For those interested in being part of the planning, we invite you to come and share your passion!

For those who prefer to simply add their input or share their desires on a one-time basis as regards the grounds and landscape, we wholeheartedly invite you to attend and share your creative inspiration.

And finally, for those who are simply curious, or have questions about what is being discussed and planned, we too ask, indeed encourage you to attend as well.
We embark on this discussion with open hearts, and especially open ears! This Center is here for all of us, and it is crucial that we all feel welcome to contribute (even if in small ways) to its ongoing development for all to enjoy. To this end, we hope you will consider joining us in this endeavor by devoting our collective love and attention to the natural surroundings of His Center.
