Independence House is hosting a Shelter Shower!

Independence House, Inc., Cape Cod's comprehensive domestic and sexual violence agency has been awarded a 10 year contract by the Department of Public Health to offer a confidential emergency Domestic and Sexual Violence Shelter for survivors who need to leave their living situations to assure their safety. The shelter is on track to open in October.

 

The Independence House Board of Directors and staff asks you to be part of helping survivors find safety by taking part in our "Shelter Shower" to meet the portion of needs for which we must fundraise. These contributions will directly support individuals and families who are in immediate crisis and fleeing to find safety. Your generosity will help to establish a warm, welcoming and safe environment for the temporary stay of survivors who are in critical need of comfort, justice and safety.

Please contribute an item from one of three online gift registries that are set up specifically for the Independence House Shelter. Gifts may be shipped or brought to our Hyannis Office located at 160 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601. 

We look forward to your attendance at the Shelter Shower Reception slated to take place at CapeSpace, 100 Independence Drive, Hyannis, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm,  Gifts may also be brought to the reception where we will be able to thank you in person and share some refreshments together.
