EVENTS AND TENNIS NEWS for ROCKINGHAM COUNTY NC - JANUARY 2017

Tennis IS a winter sport.  Adults, youth and families have FOUR different opportunities to get on the court this winter..and a new way to SignUp. 
  1. MS and HS players are invited to play in FREE clinics with Coach B on Saturdays in January.
  2. Adult Beginner Clinics with Coach Caleb Shelton move from Jaycee Park to WR YMCA indoor courts.  Contact Caleb to confirm the schedule at [email protected] 336 480-5674.
  3. Rally the Family Play Days begin once a month on Sundays in Mayodan, Eden and Reidsville.
  4. Our first Adult Beginners USTA Fun League starts in February on Saturdays at WR YMCA .


USE SignUpGenius FOR RC TENNIS WINTER 2017 PROGRAMS
Here's something new!  RC Tennis is using SignUpGenius  for players and families to register for our Winter 2017 programs.

SignUpGenius is a FREE online software tool for volunteer management and event planning.  It's easy to create an account or you may simply signup with your email address.   SignUpGenius will even remind you of upcoming events so you don't forget to find us on the courts.  Plans change?  Just change the SignUp to let us know.

FREE YCAMP MS and HS CLINCS at WR YMCA INDOOR COURTS IN JANUARY

RC Tennis and the Eden Family Y co-sponsor FREE clinics on Saturdays in January at the indoor courts at WR YMCA for RCS middle and high school players. Coach Bitrus Istifanus will lead the clinics.  Beginners are welcome.  Please register on SignUpGenius to let us know you are coming.

MONTHLY RALLY THE FAMILY PLAY DAYS in Mayodan, Eden, and Reidsville


Our First Rally the Family Play Day is Sunday January 15 indoors at WR YMCA 3-4:30p.
Play Days are a welcoming way for kids age 6-12 and families to get on the court together. Fun tennis activities are planned for our youngest children, casual competitive play for our more experienced players, as well as free family play on the court.  All Equipment and FUN provided. Beginners are welcome.

USTA ADULT BEGINNER FUN LEAGUE STARTS FEBURARY 7 AT WR YMCA 

Calling all beginner adult players to REGISTER NOW to get on the indoor courts at WR YMCA for fun casual match play on Saturday mornings in February and March.  You do not need to be a YMCA member to play.

RC Tennis and Greensboro Regional Tennis Association (GRETA) offer Rockingham County's first co-ed USTA FUN beginner league. This is the perfect next step for our adult Tennis Apprentice players, beginners  from Caleb Shelton's Jaycee Park clinics, and anyone who's wants to get back into the game. We need 8 players minimum to register to host this league.  Spread the word!
 
USTA membership, online registration for team number 703209157, and court fee are required. 

Location: Indoor courts at WR YMCA, 600 S 5th Ave, Mayodan, NC 27027
Dates: Saturdays, February 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 4, 11, 18, 25 from 10:30-12N
League Fee:  $24 This fee is refunded for all players registering for their first USTA league.
Match Fee:  $9 for non-members; $4 for Y members -  payable to WR YMCA when you play.
