at 9:30am Traditional and/or 11:00am Informal -
the fourth Sunday of Advent! Join us as we gather around the Advent Wreath and re-light the candles of hope, peace and joy...adding a new flame for love.
Our Traditional Service will highlight
Isaiah 40:1-5 and Luke 1:46-55 with a sermon entitled Road Construction as we continue to prepare the way for the Holy One - and for being holy ourselves. We will sing more Advent Carols (no Christmas Carols yet!) - Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus, The Angel Gabriel From Heaven Came and People, Look East.
Our Informal Service
will also start at the Advent Wreath then head into an original, never before seen Christmas Pageant - written by one of our PUCC Youth: Blake Lyons! Come support our children, youth and Voices of Grace.

Jazz Noel: A Christmas Meditation

Experience the Christmas story through the arts-jazz, painting and poetry. Jazz Noel is a Christmas meditation blending the music of the Oîkos Ensemble, the artistry of painter Michael Anderson, and the poetry of Cliff Aerie, in a worshipful setting.
Jazz Noel
is free and open to the public with a reception to be held afterwards. A free-will offering will be received to support local mission. Jazz Noel is the final event in a year-long celebration of First Congregational Church's 150
th

PUCC is partnering with Shaare Emeth to help two refugee families feel welcome and prepare for their first Missouri winter.

Jade Siriani lived in Aleppo, Syria, most of his life, until the war and violence there became too much for his family to bear. Now a first-year college student living in Norwood, MA, Jade shares the story of life in Aleppo, the pain of displacement and leaving, and his memories of home. Millions of Syrians have been displaced and have become refugees as a result of the war, making Syria a tragic humanitarian crisis.
Jade is a member of the Syriac Orthodox Church, one of the oldest churches in the world, and attended the National Youth Event this past summer, where this video was recorded.

You are invited to fill an ornament with a note or a small significant item in honor of a loved one to be remembered during this season. Ornaments are in a basket beneath the tree in the Gathering Space.
Have you ever had a moment or experience when you felt the true presence of God in your life?
We are looking for people to share their faith experiences through a personal story, life event, family tradition, scripture reading, poem or song. You would present your experience in a 2-3 minute presentation during both church services. These will be on the second Sunday of each month. Sharing the experiences will help us gain a deeper understanding of each other and how God has touched your life. We hope many of you will participate and be willing to present your experience in the upcoming months. For more details and scheduling your time to share, please contact Helen Race
