Winter in Durham  

Durham Tourism is excited to announce the Jan. 2 launch of the new Winter in Durham website, in partnership with York Durham Headwaters.
 
Designed with winter adventure in mind, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to choose from an enticing menu of fun, family friendly, winter weekend escapes, tailored to please a variety of interests.

Whether it is an extreme outdoor adventure you seek, to treat your palate to a weekend of culinary exploration, or to simply enjoy the cultural charms of a unique community -- there is something for everyone to enjoy in Durham this winter! 
 
The site will feature a menu of winter-themed weekend escapes, making it easy to curate the perfect family experience at the click of a button.

Time to get out and hit the slopes! The winter months provide endless outdoor fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Whether you are an avid skier or snowboarder, or are looking to try it for the first time, Durham Region offers world-class hills and terrain to suit all downhill and cross-country skill levels. Be sure to give tubing a try too, it's a wildly fun activity for people of all ages to enjoy!

Resolution Run  

Start the New Year off on the right foot by participating in the 32nd-annual Resolution Run!
 
If establishing or maintaining an active lifestyle is one of your resolutions this year, why not start right away with a five-kilometre run , or two-kilometre walk , on Jan. 1.
 
This event is presented by The Running Room, and is taking place throughout Durham Region.

Enjoy an extraordinary evening of music with the Ontario Philharmonic_
OSHAWA
Dvorak Cello Concerto 

The Ontario Philharmonic is thrilled to present the Dvorak Cello Concerto with the incomparable William Molina-Cestari! 

Classical music lovers will appreciate the world-renowned sound featured in this symphonic extravaganza. 

The audience will also be treated to the Canadian 150 Mosaic Series launch -- in collaboration with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO)! This fanfare piece will debut right here in Durham Region, before making its way to audiences in Toronto. 
 
You won't want to miss this extraordinary evening of music, taking place Jan. 28 at 8 p.m., at UOIT's Regent Theatre in Oshawa.
