Purchasing bulk products results in requiring less packaging to transport our food home,
therefore reducing the extra boxes and containers that would normally end up in our landfills.
Bulk products are normally less expensive, let you buy the quantity of product that you require for you and your family and will let you try a little bit of a new or never tried product to see if you like it, before investing in a larger quantity purchase. A win, win situation.

The Co-op has 4 bulk product areas:
Main Bulk Aisle is where you will find staples such as rice, beans, lentils, flour, granola, cereal, nuts, grains, dried fruits (or as Gabriel calls them, "chunks of energy") and trail mix. New items such as the Turmeric Ginger Cashews and Gluten Free Coconola show up on a regular basis so one needs to keep

Bulk Herbs & Spices

Bulk Coffee Section has currently 16 different selections including a new item, Summer Solstice from Equal Exchange.

Liquid Bulk

Again, you can try new flavors without having to buy a large
package;
Bulk Herbs & Spice Racks help your pocketbook and your creative side. If you have priced up the standard size containers of
various spices you will know they are very pricey and most likely sit on your pantry shelf forever. The bulk seasonings allow you to buy on an "as needed" basis ensuring a fresh product, as the Co-op turns stock over quickly. So, experiment away with herbs & spices using the correct quantity you need;

iquid Bulk Section
is where maple syrup, honey, vinegar, olive oil, laundry detergent and soaps reside. Using your own container is environmentally sound.
