In presenting the proclamations, our elected leaders have taken the time to discuss the importance of UCS' work around community planning, research and data analysis, education and advocacy. Many noted UCS' work to increase awareness of growing poverty in our county and the importance of a robust human service safety net to ensure the health and well-being of our most vital asset - our residents. Additionally, UCS recognized its long partnership with the County and cities to support vital health and human service programming through Human Service Fund grants and the Alcohol Tax Fund for those communities who participate in this pooled fund.
