Welcome to our new dance school year! We and the GSTC faculty look forward to seeing all of the children and parents next week. Classes begin Monday.

If you haven't yet registered, please do so soon. We don't want you to miss out! Click the link below to register online.



School and classroom information will be posted throughout the year on our website, in-studio bulletin boards and through social networking on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In addition, you can expect monthly e-newsletters which will be archived on our website for your round-the-clock perusal. This month's note provides information to help you manage the first few weeks of dance.

Back to Class Procedures
Classes begin Monday, August 14

The following list describes important operating procedures. Please familiarize yourselves with the details. If you have any questions, please see a staff member in the office or send us an  email .
  • Parking is available in the asphalt lot directly in front of the building or in the gravel area just south of the asphalt lot. 
  • Drop off/pick up students at the entrance and continue around. To avoid dangerous backups by other drivers, don't park in the driveway at the front door.
  • If you have not pre-registered and/or made a payment, please stop at the desk to enroll and/or make payment.
  • If you have pre-registered online, your payment has been processed and you do not need to check in at the desk. You may wait outside the appropriate classroom until your child's class is called.
  • Parents of small children are encouraged to arrive to class a few minutes early and help their child put on their class shoes. All Discover Dance classes begin with Tap, so please assist your child with their tap shoes prior to class time.
  • The teacher will announce each class and invite students in. Please wait for this announcement before entering the studio. If you are late to class, please visit the front desk and a staff member will escort your child into the appropriate studio.
  • Doors will be labeled so you know which studio your child's class will meet.
  • Send your child's dance bag into the classroom with them. Cubbies are provided in each classroom where dancers will store their belongings. Students enrolled in combo classes will change shoes within the studio. Assistance will be provided by the instructors. For combo classes meeting in different studios for different disciplines, students and/or instructors will move from classroom to classroom with their belongings. At the end of class, students will be sent with their belongings into the hallway, where parents can help them into street clothes and shoes.
  • Parents are not required to stay during classes but are certainly welcome to do so. Chairs are provided for relaxing, and windows are provided for convenient viewing of all classes. For our youngest students, the blinds may be tilted so you can see in but they can't see you. This helps to maintain a productive learning environment in the classroom while still entertaining the parents in the hall. Wi-fi is also available. Check the bulletin board for connection information.

Below is a list of the items you should wear/purchase for your first day of class. These items include a leotard of your choice, tights and shoes and can all be purchased at Kinney Dancewear.

June 11-15: GSTC Stummer Camp (9 a.m.-4 p.m. / Grades K-12) / Required for students auditioning for the 2018-19 Performing Troupe)
