The days may be getting shorter, but summer is still strong and vibrant along Clark Street and Diversey Parkway! With many places to shop and dine, amazing events like the Air and Water Show, and of course the great places to grab a drink, there's so much to do...and before you know it, our annual Spooktacular Halloween extravaganza will be upon us.

Art on Clark Has Officially Returned! 


  

The Art on Clark public art program has returned to Clark Street in Lincoln Park with a bang! Last month, many neighbors and visitors to Clark Street in Lincoln Park took advantage of a beautiful evening to tour the amazing new sculptures, walk the street, and dine and shop along the way. You can check out photos from the night here.

You can take a free self-guided tour along the route to hear the history and inspiration behind each sculpture. Simply download the Otocast app from the App Store or the Google Play store and start your journey. Spooktacular Logo Save the Date: Clark Street's Halloween Spooktacular Returns!
Sunday, October 29 | 1:00 - 4:00pm

The 9th annual Spooktacular and Scarecrows on Parade will be returning to Clark Street and Diversey Parkway  on Sunday, October 29 and we can't wait! It's never too early to start planning your costume - there was some serious competition last year - and we can expect an even bigger and better contest this fall. 

Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for details about the Halloween extravaganza! 
Cook County Sweetened Beverage Tax Now In Effect!

Due to the recent decision by the Circuit Court judge to dismiss the Illinois Retail Merchants Association's lawsuit against Cook County the Sweetened Beverage Tax is now in effect. For more information about the tax, visit lincolnparkchamber.com.
2017 Hot Dog Fest
August 11-13 | 11:00 am - 9:00 pm

Hot Dog Fest returns to Lincoln Park this weekend with a delicious line-up of vendors. This annual festival, held just steps from, and benefiting, the Chicago History Museum, has all the ingredients of an exceptional big city summer event. Featuring food served by some of the city's great vendors, many who offer exciting twists on the standard dog. Find out more about this three day festival now!
59th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show
August 19 - 20 | 10:00 am - 3:00 pm



The 59th annual Chicago Air and Water Show returns to  North Avenue Beach . This amazing show is the largest FREE show of its kind in the United States and can be viewed along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, with the main viewing area at North Avenue

New Look for the Fullerton Underpass

Later this month work will be completed at the Fullerton Avenue underpass that runs under Lake Shore Drive. Two new murals are being painted along the walls of the underpass to help enhance the walk from the west side of Lake Shore Drive to the beach. In case you missed it, Standard Market Grill recently closed their doors, but only temporarily. The restaurant at the corner of Clark and Fullerton is undergoing a new concept for the space. We look forward to the reconcept and the return of such an integral business along the corridor.

When Yogurtland recently pulled out of all of it's Chicago locations, Bill Feldgreber, owner of the Yogurtland franchise at 2468 N. Clark, and his son Alex, saw the remaining terms on their lease not as a burden, but as an opportunity, because they wanted to stay in the neighborhood that has supported them.
