Couch to 5K Training Schedule

- Your muscles need to be warmed up before exercise to avoid injury, so make sure to always stretch before every run or workout.
- Walk whenever you have the chance - take the stairs instead of the elevator, go for short walks during the day, take the dog outside for longer than usual. Getting your body used to more movement is important before starting a new exercise plan.
- Running isn't always enough. Throw some squats, planks and push-ups into your usual workouts to help stabilize your body for when it's actually time to run.
