Parents of children with disabilities have a passion for obtaining the information they need to support their children's learning and improve their educational outcomes.  T he Parent Training and Information Center at the RI Parent Information Network, has been a  critical resource to parents for twenty-five years . This monthly email will provide details to upcoming events, workshops, articles and website links, along with transition to adulthood and military resources. The PTIC is located at the  RI Parent Information Network, 1210 Pontiac Avenue in Cranston, RI.

7th Annual RIPIN Transition 101 Parent Conference
A day filled with information, emotion, and empowerment!

David Sienko, RIDE's Director of the Office of Student, Community and Academic Support (OSCAS) addressing the nearly 200 family members and professionals.

Parents and professionals were encouraged to peruse the two dozen exhibitors from partner agencies throughout the state of RI.
Workshops filled the day focusing on the transition process.  Subjects varied according to the needs of the audience, but topics included Healthcare, Social Security, and multiple panels.

RIPIN offers a wide variety of interactive workshops and training opportunities. Our experienced presenters offer information and support to all Rhode Island families as well as the professionals who work with them.
RIPIN provides direct assistance, including resources, education and training to families and youth with disabilities of transition age (14-26) in understanding the transition process and their rights.
RIPIN offers both  national and state resources,  along with a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) reference guide, navigating families of and professionals who work with students with disabilities.
RIPIN is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides direct information and support for parents and children with special health care needs in Rhode Island to obtain the critical services and supports needed in the areas of health care and education.
