A Note From
Alan Fletcher
Th is summer marked a new era for the Aspen Music Festival and School. Unveiling the fully renovated Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus to our students, artist-faculty, and patrons was a truly unforgettable experience! The Campus buzzed with excitement that day and all summer long. Practice rooms and studio spaces were booked throughout the summer by students, their teachers, and ensembles. It was a gift to see the Campus in full operation every day this season.

I was more impressed than ever by our students' talent, determination, and growth throughout the summer. I was equally touched by our patrons and audience members who, collectively, help to create a supportive environment where curiosity and creativity thrive.

All of us at the AMFS are grateful to our supportive and appreciative donors and patrons. Thank you for investing in the future of classical music. Your support of the Where Dreams Begin Campaign is an investment in our promise to be an unsurpassed summer institution of classical music education, performances, and presentations.

With sincere thanks,
Alan Fletcher

Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus: Where Dreams Begin
Alan Fletcher leads a tour of the newly renovated Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus

Alan Fletcher leads a Bucksbaum Campus tour during the grand opening on July 11, 2016.
The Where Dreams Begin Campaign was created to revitalize our historic, 38-acre campus and strengthen endowment funding for students, faculty, and programs. With the completion of the Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus, we seek support for our endowment to ensure life-changing experiences for new generations of aspiring musicians-and so that Aspen audiences can continue to share in those experiences.

If you are interested in investing in the future of classical music, please contact Alexander Brose, VP for Development at [email protected] or 970-205-5060.
Strengthening  the Work and People of the AMFS
The AMFS is dedicated to attracting the highest-quality students by offering financial assistance, the world's best teachers, innovative programs, and programming such as the creation of new works.

Your support of the endowment, with these goals in mind, ensures that the AMFS continues as an unsurpassed summer institution of classical music education, performances, and presentations.

Check out our latest Campaign video where students and patrons share their impressions of the AMFS.
Endow Financial Aid For Our Students
Sharon Isbin with a classical guitar student
Increasing our student financial aid offerings is one of the greatest goals of the AMFS. Scholarships are an important recruitment tool to help students attend so they may explore their instrument and take chances in the classical music field.

A gift to endowed scholarship funds at the AMFS ensures financial support for the world's best students in perpetuity. A donor may create a tuition-only or a full scholarship with an establishing gift of $100,000 or $200,000, respectively.  Alternatively, gifts of any size may be designated for existing endowed scholarship funds. Many scholarship funds were created to honor our talented artist-faculty, but are not at the value necessary to fully support a student at the AMFS.

In the last month, a family from Colorado made a gift that supports four existing, but underfunded scholarships. This gift will raise the scholarship awards for four students next year, and also bring honor to the artist-faculty members whom the scholarships are named.

If you have questions about how you can support our students through gifts to the endowment now and through planned gifts, please contact Alexander Brose, Vice President for Development at [email protected] or 970-205-5060.
Support Harris Concert Hall

  • Name a seat in the Harris Concert Hall - $10,000
  • Listing on the donor plaque in Harris Concert Hall - $5,000
Gifts of all sizes are celebrated and can be made online or by contacting Alexander Brose, Vice President for Development at  [email protected]  or 970.205.5060.
