1.  Recent Report
Wealth Gap Between Races Projected to Widen
Study by CFED and Institute for Policy Studies
W hat would happen if policy-makers opt not to change the status quo? CFED and the Institute for Policy Studies  partnered together on the Racial Wealth Divide Initiative to explore this question.

Just a few startling findings from their 2016 report include:
  • The wealthiest 100 Americans have as much wealth as all of the nation's Black households combined.
  • If the status quo persists, in 30 years, the wealth divide between White families and Black and Latino families will double.
  • At the current pace, it will take Black families 228 years to catch up to White families' current wealth - and Latino families 84 years.

The study authors provide an interesting perspective on historical policies that have led to this wealth divide. They also offer policy recommendations to reverse these trends.
