President Tolbert and the Board of Directors joins NBCA in extending their sincere condolence to Reverend A.W. Anthony Mays and family in the passing of his brother, Reverend Charles William Mays Jr., pastor of the Rising Star Baptist Church in Austin, Texas and also the proud husband of Sister Nancy (Sterling) Mays. Reverend A.W. Anthony Mays is the Dean of our Congress of Christian Education and Discipleship.
A service celebrating Reverend Charles William Mays, Jr.'s life was held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas where Pastor G.V. Clark officiated. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery in Round Rock, Texas.

in our prayers, as we ask God's strength to become their strength and His peace to become their comfort.
