The Minister of agriculture region of Kurdistan , Abdul Sattar Majid, Wednesday, that the Government of the Territory will adhere to the law of the federal budget for 2017 in the event of receiving a dollar - plus from direct sales of oil resources.
Majid said in an interview with a number of media , including Alsumaria News, " The meeting was held between the Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government and Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi parliament to discuss the paragraphs relating to the Kurdistan Region in the general budget."

I often get calls asking about the Iraqi dinar. Initially, I just dismissed the questions and put-off the requests, informing clients and other investors that we don't employ or recommend currency-based strategies. At the time, this was the result of only superficial research.
However, after a recent question about another foreign currency, the Vietnamese dong, I felt it was time to truly dig into what's going on and write the definitive article on where these currency strategies fit into both retirement and overall investment portfolios.
In my opinion, they don't fit anywhere! Let me reiterate that; the Iraqi dinar and the Vietnamese dong do not fit into a retirement portfolio in any way, shape, or form. Both monetary units are often referred to as "scam" currencies for good reason. Countless warnings and blood soaked war stories are prevalent online, but to my surprise investors continue to fall for it, throwing good money at a very bad idea.

I have been following currencies for 4 ½ years now.. I noticed today on the fiscal.treasury.gov website they have their rates of exchange dated September 30 2016. It shows the ZIM as 1 to 1 with USD!

If you go to their contact page it gives numbers you can call with questions, well I called Axxxx Pxxxxxx and left a voicemail. She returned my call and verified the rate for the Zimbabwe dollar was correct at 1 to 1 with US dollar.
She couldn't tell me where I can exchange, she said maybe bank of Zimbabwe.. I kind of laughed and said I'm in KY... I asked if she could direct me
Well, as I'm writing this Axxxx Pxxxxxx sent me an email confirming that rate in writing to my email!
This is the only "intel" I have ever had.. I'm so pumped! We have to be so close..

Vipor: But the middle paragraph (3.208) says "Official Exchange Rate" next to it. I would lean towards THAT figure.
Walkingstick: The MOP feasibility study, years old....................
JamJam1280: Agreed, just havn't heard any news stating the official exchange rate has been changed, so wouldn't the 3.208 still be the official rate from 2012? Was a study in 2012 to determine the rate. But they as far as I know never amended it.
So I would say the official rate if unchanged is still 3.208. Could be wrong. Just havn't heard any other source saying they changed the official exchange rate. And if restrictions have been removed , wouldn't it by default return to the official rate?

Cleitus: : Frank isn't this putting the cart before the horse? I guess the way I see it to answer your question is, we have to see the Rider kick in first to expose the new rate..., then we can deduce from that where the price of oil should be to "fuel the budget properly."
