A Message From Mr. Stoops

It seems like it was just a few days ago when we were singing the Circle Song, having our Closing Ceremony, and concluding the 2016-2017 school year. Now, we are moving full speed ahead, eagerly anticipating the students' return next week! The maintenance staff has done an incredible job of making the school shine and teachers are already back in the classrooms preparing lessons, decorating, and planning exciting activities for your children. I look forward to a year full of growth, development, challenge, engagement, and success!

Please make sure to see below for all of the opportunities available to smoothly transition into the upcoming school year!

God Bless,
Corey

PTA Treasurer's Report

The 2016-17 school year was another successful year for the PTA. Our thanks go out to all our
families and friends for supporting the school through our fundraisers throughout the year.

The following is a list of some of our fundraising projects and the earnings we generated for the  school year. Our fiscal year was from July 1st, 2016 through June 30th, 2017.
  • Spring Event $ 11,197
  • 365 Lotto $ 7,643
  • Penny Fair $ 5,514
  • Box Tops/Soup Labels $ 1,031
  • School Toolboxes $ 700
  • Fish Fry Bake Sales $ 875
  • Used Uniform Sales $ 567
  • Remke $ 322
  • Mio's Fundraiser $ 713
Additionally, our PTA Membership Drive brought in $5,405.

As we do every year, the PTA supports many important programs for the school including the
Science Enrichment program Crystal Clear Science, Everybody Counts, Catholic Schools Week,  and the Used Uniform Sale. In addition, PTA funds a $800 scholarship to an 8th grade student  who shows exemplary service to our school in honor of Lisa Ventre, a former PTA President.  PTA also provides all indoor and outdoor recess equipment through the Box Tops and Labels for  Education programs.

Our teachers are our most valuable asset to Guardian Angels. We reimburse our teachers for
classroom supplies each year and purchase higher ticket "wish list" items as well. To date, those  expenditures total close to $10,000 this year. The Teachers' Luncheons are a special treat the  PTA hosts as a "thank you" to our outstanding teachers and staff.

The Technology Fund was supported by the Kroger Card Program. To date this year, we have
raised $15,516 through the Kroger cards to ensure our computer resources remain state of the art.

The PTA is grateful for all the support of our families and we look forward to continued growth
and enrichment in the 2017-2018 school year.

Respectfully Submitted,
2016-2017 PTA Board
