The Turning the Tide Against Cancer 2017 National Conference gathered leaders from across the oncology community to explore the role of the patient across the continuum of cancer research and care, and delineate strategies for policymakers to consider that support meaningful patient engagement and deliver value to patients.

The event was co-hosted by the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Feinstein Kean Healthcare (FKH) and CancerCare.

Speak With an Oncology Social Worker

When a person is diagnosed with cancer, it seems everyone is focused on that person's physical well-being. But there are other parts of life affected by cancer, like self-image, work, family and friendships.

Cancer Care's oncology social workers understand the complex issues raised by cancer, and can help patients and their loved ones cope with the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer. If you need some extra support, give us a call at 800-813-HOPE (4673).

CancerCare Clients Share Their Stories

Shortly after her husband passed away from stage 4 colorectal cancer, Trish reached out to Cancer Care to seek support for herself and her daughter.

"When we came here, we both felt like we were on a downward spiral," Trish recalls. "Now, we feel like we're in a position to help others."

Thank You, Ices for Andrea!

Joann Centrone and Diana Gerhardt, along with their family and friends, hosted  the 11th Annual Ices for Andrea fundraiser, in memory of their mother, Andrea Caggiano.

To celebrate Andrea's birthday, the family sells Italian ices each July. What started as a small way for Andrea's grandsons to remember their beloved Mamar has grown into a community event that has raised more than $60,000 over the past 11 years!
