This Week at OML 

This week at OML things have taken a busy turn. Cheryl Adams, Program Manager, Sarah Lingenfelter, Administrative Services Coordinator, and Nancee Morris, Operations and Business Development Manager, headed to Perry for the 3rd Community Leadership Development session of the year.  Deputy Director of Internal Operations/General Counsel Sue Ann Nicely attended a meeting at DEQ for discussion of current DEQ rule-making. Executive Director Mike Fina visited Burlington, Vermont for the National League of Cities League Director's Conference. Melanie and Jamie mailed out Mayor's Council of Oklahoma information to municipalities, while the OML staff is gearing up for the 2017 Annual Conference in Tulsa. Can't wait to see everyone there!
Oklahoma State Court Network to Air Supreme Court Arguments
The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) and the Oklahoma State Court Network (OSCN) are teaming up to provide online streaming of arguments held at the Oklahoma Supreme Court. Tune in Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. for three oral arguments of statewide issues. Due to an anticipated large quantity of crowds, a live stream will be provided at the Capitol for those who cannot fit in the court room.

OML ED Mike Fina Meets With Tulsa Area Leaders
This past week OML Executive Director Mike Fina met with officials from Cities United, a collective of Tulsa area leaders. The discussions centered around Fina's vision for the Oklahoma Municipal League and the future between the Northeast part of the state and the League. The group also discussed issues specific to that area. Fina acknowledged that the League needs to be more responsive to Northeast Oklahoma, but he looks forward to personally visiting these communities, "when an opportunity arises to travel to the northeast, I will always be there."
Meet The People Of OML: April Bradbury
April Bradbury is the Exposition Coordinator for the annual OML conference and has been with the League for the last three years. April helps with coordinating exhibitors for conference, trying to gather sponsors for conference, and assists in putting together the OML Directory of Cities and Towns. Born in the heart of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, April has lived in Oklahoma her entire life. April and her husband have two kitties named Zoe and Henry, and a brand new Grandson named Max. April also instructs CPR classes in her spare time to various organizations around the state. OML thanks you for everything you do to help us improve as a whole every day.

Delegate registration is now available for the 2017 OML Annual Conference coming up September 12-14, 2017 in Tulsa. 

Special hotel rates are now available for delegates staying at the Doubletree Hotel. Visit the Hotel Information Page of the OML Annual Conference Website for reservation information. Special rate deadline is August 21st. If you are unable to get a room at the Doubletree, t he overflow hotel is the Aloft in Tulsa. Here is the link to reserve a room at the special rate.

The 2018 OML Conference App has now been launched and we are adding information almost daily. If you would like to download the app now, it is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Here is a flyer with more information and a QR code.

For the 2017 Annual Conference Fund Raising World Series, don't strike out! This year's food bank fund raiser will benefit the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. All attendees are eligible to participate, so start collecting now! The conference fund raiser will close at 12:00 p.m., noon, on Thursday, September 14th.
