This week is kind of like a confetti of great opportunities. Don't miss the  Cookie Cart Ground Breaking - serving youth through entrepreneurship and cooperation, now on Payne Ave. RSVP to attend.

PABA and Metro State are hosting a great opportunity to get certified with the CERT program for Minority owned, Women owned, and certified as Small Businesses.

A big thanks to the members hosting an intern through Metro State through the end of July: Family Values for Life, East Side Freedom Library, Midwest Special Services, Inc., and two interns working in the office on behalf of all members on our website and social media.

This is your week to sign up to be part of two events at the end of the summer. Daydream now and you will be crying in the dust later. Deadlines this week!  7th Street LIVE and PABA Harvest Festival - See below.

And don't miss our  July Member Meeting - Sign up now  - on the road at Culver's!

CERT for Contractors and Construction Biz
There are opportunities to do contracting work on City-financed and East Side Neighborhood Development Company (ESNDC) renovation projects.

ESNDC is working with the City of St. Paul and its partners to target East Side contractors, professional service consultants and suppliers to increase your chances of becoming a subcontractor on our projects. To learn more about how to sign up for the Vendor Outreach Program (VOP) or Section 3 contracting opportunities please plan on attending a session on June 28 th at Metro State University.

We are specifically looking for Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Woman Business Enterprises (WBE). We are reaching out to East Side businesses, however, any East Metro Business could benefit from this presentation. If you know a local contractor, consultant or supplier who may benefit from this information, please pass it on. Thank You!
Announcements and News
Thank you to all who participated in the   Lean Urbanism scan  last week. We had a full house for the business portion of the scan and celebrated a delicious lunch with member  El Guanaco Cafe . Though in some ways not surprising, the conversation raised exactly the kinds of issues we need to tackle in St. Paul. Look for more follow-up opportunities as we figure out how to get a handle on them.
