Dekel
hails from the midwest and has been in the Greater Boston Area for the 5 years. She previously worked in Quality Assurance at Boston University and is an alumnus of Boston University and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is currently completing a Master's degree in ethnomusicology at Tufts University. She is excited to join the team at Temple Israel!

Melissa Carp, who for the past year has been with Temple Israel as Executive Coordinator for Rabbi Zecher, will now be taking on the role of Executive Coordinator for Rabbis Gubitz and Soffer and Riverway Project Coordinator.
Melissa earned
her B.A. in Religious Studies and Education from Bates College. She has worked at the ADL, Hebrew Senior Life, and was the President of Bates

The Membership and Engagement Committee is seeking High Holy Day Ambassadors to provide a warm, personal welcome to congregants and guests attending Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at Temple Israel. We are seeking both seasoned Ambassadors, as well as those who would be joining us for the first time this year. Sunday Classes for Young Children
|
This year, the Temple Israel Religious School is offering a choice between two Sunday classes for our young learners,
based on age group
. Both classes will meet for two 8-week sessions on
Sundays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
(dates below). Classes are open to both members and non-members as a way to ease into the full Religious School experience. To learn more or register, please contact

Cost for members is $150 per session per child, or $250 for both sessions.
Cost for non-members is $200 per session per child.

Sunday Pre-K Class - For kids who are one year away from Kindergarten. Hands-on learning with activity centers and group time to learn about holidays, Torah, the synagogue, blessings, and more. |
Sunday Sandbox - For 3 and 4 year-olds who will not be going into Kindergarten the following year. Play-based learning to explore Jewish values, community, and holidays. |
Fall session: October 15, October 22, October 29, November 5, November 12, November 19, December 3, December 10
