This week I would like to share with you a poem about Jesus as a baby. Take the time to slow down and reflect on Jesus and the sacrifices that he made for us.
Merry Christmas! Ms. Walters
As A Baby, Jesus Came
As a baby, Jesus came From His home above He left His throne, and who He was, To teach us how to love
As a baby, Jesus came, Wrapped in swaddling cloth; Willingly took on humanity, Though He was one with God
As a baby, Jesus came To one day grow to be The saviour of the human race, People like you and me
As a baby, Jesus came As God's eternal light That will never be extinguished, But forever shine out bright
As a baby, Jesus came The hope of eternal life, Reconciling us back to God, Giving meaning to our lives
As a man, Jesus died, His blood poured out for all, Cleansing and forgiving us, For to this, He was called
We thank Him that He came a babe And grew to be a man And for His sacrificial love, His nailed scarred feet and hands
Through it all we can live on With Jesus Christ our Lord The babe that came that first Christmas Is what we thank Him for.

Hello PHAA Family!
Throughout this semester, our students have been learning about the wonderful God we serve on so many levels. It has been my utmost pleasure to work towards providing an environment where our youth feel safe enough to share their thoughts on how they picture God. The Freshmen Religion class has been exploring the validity of God’s existence, and gaining a true vision of His character. The Sophomore & Junior classes have studied the story of Hosea and God’s willingness to display His extreme love for His people. Also, the Seniors have been exploring deeper questions, such as, why is it important to have a personal (Christian) life philosophy?
In addition, we have been blessed during our chapel's every Friday with many guest speakers, helping our students think from a perspective different from their own. I’m saying all of this to also share that the goal and purpose of what we teach and do is to lead our youth to make a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ before they leave PHAA. In a further effort to reach this goal, I have partnered with the Youth department at the Pleasant Hill Church to start up Bible studies. It will be a youth based Bible & Baptismal study for High School students called “Starting Points.” These studies will begin January 5, 2016 in the Youth Chapel.

Checking Grades?
– If you forgot your password or can’t seem to get logged in to RenWeb to check your child’s grade or your own homework, please stop by or call Mrs. Farley. She will help you get logged in to get up-to-date school assignments.
RenWeb Optimized – To use RenWeb on a mobile device, it has been recommended that you purchase for $5 per year the “RenWeb Home” app from the App Store. Other versions may display but “RenWeb Home” is the only application that has been optimized for a mobile device.
Also, when logging in on a home computer to ParentsWeb as a student or parent, RenWeb has been optimized for the Firefox browser with the Silverlight plugin enabled. If you are using Chrome or Internet Explorer, RenWeb may not log you in. To check what browser you are using, go to: whatsmybrowser.com. If you don’t have Firefox loaded on your computer, search for “Firefox” then press the button for “FREE DOWNLOAD” and follow the instructions.
When do my children need school physicals? From the School Handbook, Page 29, “California state law (AB4848) requires a physical examination for all new students entering school for the first time. A physical examination—which must include a scoliosis exam—is also mandatory for students entering seventh and tenth grade. Sports Physical – Those wishing to participate in the varsity or junior varsity sports program (grades 7-12) must obtain a sports physical each year. This can be done at the same time as their state-mandated physical.”
