are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. As in many "Classified Ads", articles should not exceed 150 words in length (total, and no graphics) and may be submitted to J.D. Lafrance (

) no later than Wednesday 10 a.m. each week for distribution via e-mail to the Diocese later that day. Text should be in the body of an email or in an attached Word document. Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas
- Sunday Faith Forum on December 18th at 11:15 a.m. in MacColl Auditorium at St. Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh with the beloved Helen White! Only the gospels of Matthew and Luke tell us about the birth of Jesus, but their accounts offer different details about his birth and the roles played by Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the Magi and Herod. Join us as we explore the gospels, led by lay scholar, group facilitator and retreat leader Helen White, whose lay-led classes on the Synoptic Gospels were pioneered at St. Thomas' Church and have now spread throughout our Diocese and far beyond.

Services
Holy Spirit, Harleysville
holds the Annual Nativity Pageant telling the story of Christmas from the Old Testament prophets through the birth of Jesus at the 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday, December 18. The service features readings, carols, choir presentations and the reneactment of the Nativity scene. All children are invited to participate, with angel and shepherd costumes available. has about 50 of these chairs for whomever wants them. They are comfortable armchairs great for a meeting room although a little faded otherwise in good condition. Exciting local music is coming to
Incarnation Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church
. Starting in September, and running through the fall and winter months, IHS Drexel Hill will be hosting a Coffee House Open Mic and Concert Series. We'll bring in two local musicians to play longer sets and open the rest of the time up for members of the audience to share songs. is open with our fall/winter fashions and housewares. Our hours are Wednesday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. SCTS serves our community with very affordable items, and if there is a verified financial need, vouchers are available through our clergy. We operate solely on the generous contributions from our parish family and friends. The income generated for our Church aids in emergency expenses and helps to purchase items that are needed for the church but not covered in the general budget. We are truly blessed to often receive some very "high end" household goods and "designer" clothing. Stop in to see us - we are sure you will be pleased and will perhaps find that "treasure" you are looking for.

St. George St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
seeks a Part-Time Organist - Choirmaster to play for our principal service on Sundays at 10 a.m., and Holy Days, using appropriate liturgical resources, to select music for our choirs and lead a weekly rehearsal. We are a family-size parish located in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood of West Philadelphia, SGSB's choirs sing a wide range of church music that includes sacred, contemporary gospel, and traditional gospel repertoire. The successful candidate must be proficient with the 1982 Hymnal, LEVAS II, improvise, and prepare preludes and postludes for worship services. The organist - choirmaster will have access to an Allen organ and baby grand piano for practice and lessons. Salary commensurate to experience. Volunteers needed at the Cathedral Food Pantry. Every Monday the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral Food Pantry distributes nourishing food to 150 households. We need help with food distribution on Mondays and help with receiving the food on alternate Wednesdays.
