Benedictine University's new Executive Masters in Values-Driven Leadership program is for leaders with 8+ years' experience. We've designed the program to help elevate careers, and are looking for people who have the potential reach senior roles if they can develop their leadership capacity; or who are technical experts who want to grow their "soft skills" to be more effective. Chicago Network members  might know of people meeting that description.

This program can be transformative for the individual and powerful for your company. Here are a few details:
  • Format: hybrid. Most courses are held online for the student's convenience; three deep dive residencies help lock-in the learning by connecting students with other accomplished leaders and our world-class faculty.
  • Curriculum: Students learn to lead at four levels - self, teams, organizations, and society - while also learning practical tools & ideas for your business.
  • Distinctives: The program includes industry-leading Hogan Assessments and 10 sessions with a professional coach; additionally, one of the residencies is a global exchange to expand understanding of contemporary leadership issues.
  • Length: 18 months
We think this program is the fast-track you need to develop your high potential team members.

Know someone who would be a good fit for the program? Please introduce us. We'd love to meet anyone who wants to elevate his or her career through values-driven leadership.

ILLINOIS SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE STEM CHALLENGE 2017
Through its STEM Challenge program, the Illinois Science & Technology Institute is making powerful connections between some of the state's leading companies and high school students to build a stronger STEM-talent pipeline in Illinois.
Companies are paired up with high schools over the course of a semester to work on authentic problems identified by the company. Alongside company employees, students come up with new ideas, products, prototypes, designs, etc., that address pressing issues -- and then present their work back to the company.

For 2016-17, 26 high schools teamed up with 12 industry partners, including Microsoft, Motorola Mobility, AbbVie, Baxter, Takeda, ADM and State Farm. As just one example, students at North Chicago High School teamed up with AbbVie to explore ways to improve the lives of patients with cancer. Their partnership also led to the opening of a new school-based clinic, which was covered in this Trib local story.

These are transformative experiences for young people and give students a line of sight to careers they never thought existed. The ISTI is currently recruiting company partners for the 2017-18 school year. If your company is interested in learning more about sponsoring a challenge with a local high school, please contact Emily Cooper at [email protected] and view this short program video.
