Jennifer Redell, Bat Biologist with the Wisconsin DNR, presents Bats Live! These superheroes of the night sky are responsible for worldwide pest control, seed dispersal, and pollination among other benefits.  Jennifer will tell us about the importance of these amazing animals and unearth the mysteries of Wisconsin's bats. Learn about how white-nose syndrome is affecting Wisconsin bats and find out
how you can help bats in your neighborhood Jennifer will be accompanied by live bat ambassadors, including a flying fox native to Africa!
After Jennifer's presentation, weather permitting, we will take a bat walk to try to find some of Green Lake's "flying foxes." Local bat enthusiast Tom Wagner will lead the way. And we have information on native bats posted around the library to get the conversation started. We hope you will join us!
