Did you know that by 2025, millennials will comprise 75 per cent of the workforce?
At MCA we are engaging both our young and senior executives to learn from each other now. The young executives in Edmonton planned a night of bowling and had 20 members come-out to meet with the senior executives to pick their brains on the industry we all care about!
A big thank you to Marking Services Canada Inc. for sponsoring this event!

Canada Prompt Payment Act
Bill S-224 for the Canada Prompt Payment Act, has passed second reading in the senate. It is now moving to committee hearings; following these hearings, it will go to a third reading and then hopefully to the House of Commons. This is good news!
Below, you'll find hansard from last weeks' debate in which Sen. Pierrette Ringuette refers to the Ontario "Reynolds report" suggesting close alignment. The NTCCC have already addressed this and have proposed several amendments along these lines.

ACA survey
MCA members please participate in the following ACA survey to help determine the associations' direction for the next couple of years. On page two of the survey, there is a list of 17 priority objectives of which you are asked to select your top five. Promoting prompt payment in contract clauses is one of these priorities.
If promoting prompt payment in contract clauses is not good enough, please take the time to let ACA know that pursuing a legislated solution to ensure prompt payment solutions must be one of their top priority objectives.
Take the survey. |

As a member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Alberta, you are eligible to access the MCAA mobility program.
The MCAA mobility program is the largest member-only mobility plan for small businesses and employees. By aggregating the mobility requirements with other members across Canada, we are as big, if not bigger, as Canada's largest fortune 500 companies. Together we secured national account pricing (as low as $45 per month) for mobility plans, and exclusive calling features better than big businesses.
