Welcome Kelley Groen!
New Prevent Coalition Coordinator

Please join us in welcoming Kelley Groen as our new Prevent Coalition Co-Coordinator. Kelley joined our team on July 1 st to fulfill Megan Streeter's role as Megan moves on to pursue a Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of Washington. We are thrilled to have Kelley on board as a member our coalition staff. She joins Leanne Reid in the coordination of the Prevent Coalition's mission of connecting and supporting communities to build resilience and prevent youth substance use. For the past year, Kelley has worked for the Connect 2 Careers youth workforce program within ESD 112's Prevention and Youth Services Department. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Clark County, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Psychology and has over eight years of experience in social services specializing in prevention of unemployment for people in poverty and mental health and substance use recovery.  We are so happy Kelley is joining the team!

Farewell to Megan Streeter

It has been an honor being a coordinator for Prevent Coalition. I am sad to to announce that I will be leaving Prevent, but excited to be moving to Seattle this fall to pursue a Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of Washington. My last day at Prevent will be August 31st, but I will never be too far away! Prevention work is always in my heart, and my dedication will continue on as I dip my toe into academia for the next two years. Thank you all for being wonderful teachers, your commitment to your community and youth prevention is inspiring.

All the best,

- Megan
