North Shore TMA provides one-stop transportation resource for commuters and visitors during summer commuter rail construction

With the MBTA suspension of all weekend service on the Newburyport/Rockport commuter rail line between July 8th and September 30th and the suspension of daily service north of Salem Depot between July 17th and August 13th on the Newburyport/Rockport commuter rail line, the North Shore Transportation Management Association (TMA) wants to make sure that you know that this summer,  The North Shore is OPEN for BUSINESS and OPEN for FUN!

The  North Shore TMA  is pleased to offer a one-stop resource for commuters and visitors traveling to/from and within the North Shore.  TMA staff have compiled an extensive list of commuting options and resources to assist  daily commuters  as well as  weekday  and  weekend visitors  traveling to/from and within the North Shore to help them get to where they want to go as quickly and easily as possible.

North South Rail Link Town Hall Meeting - July 31st
The North South Rail Link (NSRL) Working Group Chairman, Former Governor Michael S. Dukakis along with Mayor Kim Driscoll and the Office of Congressman Seth Moulton, will host a  NSRL Town Hall Meeting on  Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7PM at the Salem Town Hall Annex, 3rd Floor,
120 Washington Street, Salem, MA.

The NSRL would involve a 2.8-mile tunnel connecting North Station and South Station in Boston and allow for more efficient commuter rail service, provide commuters with better train schedules, and vastly expand regional rail service accessibility throughout  Massachusetts and the Northeast Corridor.  Additionally, the NSRL would integrate the Rockport and Newburyport lines to the other half of the state and completely integrate our commuter rail system to our subway system, while significantly reducing commute times and eliminating 55,000 cars off the road.

The North Shore TMA  urges the North Shore residents to attend this town hall meeting that will provide an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about this important project. More information and free registration click here
