Many Ceres Classes
to Choose From!

Nutrition Education Manager, Thais Harris NC teaching the Kids Can Cook class at a local library.
Ceres offers nutrition education to clients, teens, volunteers, Community Health Center patients, and the community through ongoing classes. Anyone, anywhere, can get access to our Healing Foods Basics video online, along with online articles and recipes.

For a more fun and interactive way to learn, join us in person for a Healing Foods Basics, Healing Foods Essentials, or Healing Foods Cooking Class in Sonoma and Marin Counties. There are still spaces available for our Healing Foods Cooking Class on Wednesday, 7/26 from 6 to 8pm. Secure your spot now! It will be a hands-on class on how to prepare 3 easy meals in one hour for the week.

Kids can also learn cooking skills through our Kids Can Cook classes in partnership with the Sonoma County Libraries (upcoming sessions start in October 2017).

Patients at the West County Health Centers have the option to participate in our Cooking and Eating For Better Health series taking place twice a month at Forestville Wellness Center (2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 10:30am to 12:15pm), and the entire Cloverdale community is invited to attend the same series at Cloverdale Apartments, sponsored by Alexander Valley Healthcare ( 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 3 to 5 pm).

Chef Hollie Greene teaches the Spring Transition Program class how to prep ingredients for Pho Immune Broth (recipe provided below).
We are a lso offering a special program to Ceres clients who have completed our meals program and want to learn more about cooking for themselves (along with optimal nutrition and self care information), and/or are interested in receiving vegetables from the Ceres garden. This pilot program is part of a study with University of San Francisco and is helping us learn more about what to offer clients transitioning out of our meals program. We have received extremely positive feedback from clients participating so far, and would like to share two stellar recipes with you from our spring class cohort.
