Former Governor Mike Dukakis, Congressman Seth Moulton, Mayor Kim Driscoll to host North South Rail Link Meeting

The North South Rail Link (NSRL) Working Group Chairman, Former Governor Michael S. Dukakis along with Mayor Kim Driscoll and the Office of Congressman Seth Moulton, will host a NSRL Town Hall Meeting  on  Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7PM  at the Salem Town Hall Annex, 3rd Floor,
120 Washington Street, Salem, MA.

The NSRL would involve a 2.8-mile tunnel connecting North Station and South Station in Boston and allow for more efficient commuter rail service, provide commuters with better train schedules, and vastly expand regional rail service accessibility throughout  Massachusetts and the Northeast Corridor.  Additionally, the NSRL would integrate the Rockport and Newburyport lines to the other half of the state and completely integrate our commuter rail system to our subway system, while significantly reducing commute times and eliminating 55,000 cars off the road.

The  Junction TMO staff  urges the public to attend this town hall meeting that will provide an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about this important project. More information and free registration click here

The Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) launched a national survey in late July to explore
certification program for transportation demand management (TDM) professionals. ACT TDM Certification Chair, Aaron Fodge stated, "We urge all individuals who are directly or indirectly involved in public-sector and private-sector TDM activities to complete the Jobs Analysis survey and to who are involved in TDM activities." The survey will remain open through August 18th. Results of the survey will help determine next steps in the potential development of a certification program for TDM professionals.
