Jenkintown Creek Progress!
|
we have planted over 1100 trees and shrubs and .28 miles of stream buffer, and are managing over 10 acres of area with stormwater BMPs. This was all made possible with the help of over 1,000 volunteers! At McKinley, we expanded a vernal pool (seasonal wetland).
We are so proud! And we're still going. This month, we're continuing our work at Ethel Jordan Park by restoring the eroded stream bank and installing a bioswale and rain garden to slow down and filter pollution that flows into the creek. Ethel Jordan Park neighbor? See you on planting day on November 11!
