For many years, AURP published two separate enewsletters each month. The original "Park Post" focused on U.S.-based research park news and events, while the "Forum" focused on capturing and sharing research park news and events from around the globe.
This month we are trying a new approach. Due to the expansion in our membership stateside and abroad, AURP has decided to combine the enewsletters into one cohesive news and AURP information aggregate for your reading benefit.

"It was time to move out of the kitchen," recalls Steven Gentles, CEO of
AwareBase. He moved his information management company, then a staff of three, into the professional environment of the Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in the Edmonton Research Park. It was an easy choice as the rent was reasonable and the building was filled with entrepreneurs experiencing the same hurdles and spurts of growth that his company would face.

Nearly $1 million in federal grants have been awarded to the LSU Industrial Innovation Center, Baton Rouge's Research Park Corp. and New Orleans' Propeller Social Impact Equity Fund to support their efforts to boost entrepreneurship and business development.
